Region Lock

AngkasaIO WAF Regional Locking enhances security by restricting access based on geographic locations, allowing you to block traffic from specific countries or regions to prevent unauthorized access and cyber threats. In Whitelist Mode, this feature allow you to allow traffic only from selected contries.

Updating AngkasaIO WAF Regional Locking

Follow these steps to set up a regional locking using the AngkasaIO WAF configuration panel.

  1. Browse to your AngkasaIO Space (your dedicated environment).

  2. Navigate to WAF and select WAF instance that you want to configure.

  3. Locate and navigate to the WAF Rules section under Firewall. This section allows you to configure Regional Lock of your application.

  4. Activate Regional Locking feature by turn Enable Switch 1 to On. Choose Filter Mode 2 and select a country from the Countries Selection 3. All affected countries will be disaplayed in Affected Country sections 4;

  5. There are 2 types of filter that using in AngkasaIO WAF's Regional Locking, including:

    • Whitelist: A list of approved countries or regions that are allowed to access your website. Only users from these locations can interact with your application.
    • Blacklist: A list of blocked countries or regions that are denied access to your website. Any request from these locations is automatically rejected.
  6. Click the Save button to apply your changes.

  7. Your WAF is now configured with desired AngkasaIO WAF Regional Lock.
